I called and asked if I could still get my annual fee refunded if I cancelled today. I was tranferred to a specialist named Kyle. I asked him if I could get my annual fee refunded if I cancelled today. He said I had 60 days and asked if the fee was the only reason I was cancelling. I said the fee and that I already get similar benefits with Mosaic. He said, 'Okay, I've gone ahead and refunded you fee.' As I was in the middle of thanking him and getting ready to hang up, he interrupted and said he'd also give me 5000 points if I spent $1000. I quickly said awesome, and he read a disclaimer and both offers were mine.
The annual fee refunded showed up on my account an hour later.

Thanks all for the retention info. I'm going to call soon because this card as an AMEX convert makes no sense. You pay the fee, but you don't get the baggage benefits. I'm going to see what they can do, or if it makes sense to close this and then get a new one. I don't care about the initial offer, I have more JetBlue points than I have any immediate use for.

Quick question.
I applied for JetBlue Card (no annual fee), and I'm not sure if I added my TrueBlue number when applying.
Does Barclays have ways to determine your current TB number based on email? or they'll simply assign a new number for you?
If the latter, would I be able to call in and either merge both numbers into 1?

From the T&C:
Program Membership
If your TrueBlue membership number was included in the application, we will add that number to your Account automatically.
If the TrueBlue membership number that you provided is found to be invalid or you did not provide us with a TrueBlue membership number, a new TrueBlue membership account number will be assigned to you.
Only one TrueBlue membership number will be established per Account, and will be assigned to you.

it seems like Barclays sends the list of people who have qualified for Mosaic in waves to Jetblue. I met my spend about 2 weeks ago and still have not been upgraded. Has anybody met their spend recently and been upgraded already?

Does anyone know how frequently you can apply to get the bonus again? I got this card ~11 months ago, and saw the increased offer for 40,000 points -- I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on getting ti again, but don't know if I should cancel my existing card first, reduce my credit limit, etc. etc. to maximize my chances of getting it.

Great offer. But don't Jet Blue miles expire a year from posting if you don't have any revenue flights? I like to build mile and point portfolios--with points whose expiration "clocks" can be reset in other, cheaper ways; and with longer expiration periods. BA may be the winner here--something like 36 months without activity.

Since what year? No offense to you personally, but I see FT posts circa 2013 indicating Jet Blue's statement that their points don't expire to be B.S. That they really expire in 12 months if you have no revenue flights. I'd be psyched to learn that they truly don't expire, like Delta's. Double-checking before I pull the trigger on the 40K Jet Blue card. Can anyone else confirm?
