jetBlue enforcing Carry-on rules BEFORE security
 

I was attempting to get my flight at Ft. Lauderdale
I'm stopped by the boarding pass checker (non-TSA/non-jetBlue), telling me I have too many personal items.
1) Computer bag (personal item)
2) Bag of clothes I was going to change into in the men's room. (in a supermarket plastic bag, the one's they are trying to ban)
3) Regular carry on
Seriously, she wouldn't let me pass. OK, is this jetBlue policy? She walks me to the two JetBlue floaters in front of the ticket counter who make me jam my clothes into my carry on, just to go through security. My online complaint received the following confirmation;

"we have teams in place in the airport lobby and security lanes to enforce our carry-on limit so that customers that need to check any extra items have that option before going through security. "

But they can only do that when they control all the gates beyond security, right? So when they can have an opportunity to enforce arbitrary rules, they will ("I wasn't trying to board the plane", he explained fruitlessly).

Just be warned. jetBlue is morphing into every other carrier. No free checked bag, more seats jammed in, etc.
