What a difference the browser makes

I booked seats using points and went back a day later to upgrade to EMS and as has happened in the past I was unable to on the website as the select seat option was grayed out. I have called Jetblue and been able to get EMS by speaking to a person which was a process I never understood and just chalked it up to a B6 curiosity. I tried Safari, IE and Firefox with the same failure but had success using Chrome. Not only was I able to change seats, the entire layout of the manage my flight section was different so I clicked on profile to find my Known Traveler #, phone # and email address missing. I updated my profile and logged out and back in to confirm the EMS seats and personal data had updated which was as it should be.
Perhaps Jblu has gone to a Google based server or is up with a beta - it might explain the lame delays in posting points earned as well...

There are definitely two different things going on with "manage flights". One (old?) is at:
https://book.jetblue.com/B6.myb/bookingDetails.html
The other is at:
https://book.jetblue.com/B6/ReservationSearch.do
It seems like only one works depending on which particular server you happen to hit.

Also of note is that the itinerary viewed through the latter link is missing the link to the receipt. Luckily you can get the receipts this way:
https://jetbluereceipt.sabre.com/new/m/mEticket.html?action=printEticket&pnr=ABCXYZ&ticke tNumber=2790000000000&eticketTotal=1&pcc=NIH&hostI D=B6

There recently has been "noise" about JetBlue having the ability to identify IP addresses, and store buying profiles. When they find customers who will buy higher fares, they supposedly skew offering prices. There has also been discussion about ticket buyers with Apple hardware, being offered higher fares, the notion being they tend to be higher income types. That kind of data mining could be contributing to browser issues. In my case, both my smartphone, and Google Chrome browser, cannot connect to the B6 website unless "cookies are enabled".:D

I search for airfares using the private browsing setting of Firefox and continue to track them with Yapta to try and avoid the cookie monsters.

Can you post some of this "noise" while I go get my tin foil hat?

Search city pairs and fares on the B6 website, and watch the popups keep coming. As for the Apple shenanigans:

Popups? Please explain.

As for orbitz, they didn't adjust prices based on OS, they changed the sort order. Huge difference
