JetBlue Mint Menus

Since JetBlue has a new premium product, I am going to start a menu thread for JetBlue "Mint".

I have discontinued this menu thread, as JetBlue is now listings its monthly menu on its website.
Here is a link to its Mint Page.

While I enjoyed bfast on the inaugural JFK-LAX, I was disappointed that the two meat options were both pork. At least one should be turkey (or even veggie) sausage/bacon.

I wrote them feedback with this.

Im glad you did, this seems odd that there are not other meats or a veg option.

I have never flown premium in my life, but I have to say that this is pretty impressive, and is making me wish they flew this product to ORD

Would be nice to order a vegetarian meal. For people that don't eat meat, the options are limited.

On the Mint FAQ section:

Since meals are included in the Mint experience, is there an option for Mint Customers with special dietary restrictions?

Yes. Mint Customers with special dietary requests may choose from Kosher, vegan, and gluten-free meals. Special meal requests must be added prior to 24 hours before departure by calling 1-800-JETBLUE.

I am sorry, but JetBlue will eventually fail at MINT. For now, its a great novelty that will eventually lose its luster. While JetBlue is a fairly decent airline, the first few times that Jetblue has massive cancellations due to IRROPS, WX etc, and can't accomodate people in a MINT cabin for several days will mark the beginning of the end. Jetblue has and will continue to fail at having a successful IRROPS strategy. Part of the reason is that you can only cram so many people onto an Airbus 321. Now, throw in a MINT plane which goes MX or throw in a bad NY summer storm with mass cancellations and your going to have lots of disapointed MINT paying customers. At least with the big boys, they can throw a wide body into the mix and clear up any backlog within a day.

Are there really no linens being used? Just that chincy paper tray mat? The plateware and set up does not inspire a high end or premium concept to me.

Paper on the tray table and another inset on the service tray beneath the plates.

I like the plateware a lot. And I can take or leave the linens. Not a huge deal to me to not have it.

If they keep their price competitive, they just might be able to make a go of it!!!
