No companion in profile?

No companion in profile?
In making a first reservation for my wife and me, I was surprised that apparently a companion cannot be specified in one's profile. Is that really so?

If you are both TrueBlue members and have Points Pooling (formerly "Family Pooling") setup, you can choose from any member of the pool (up to 7 people in total) when checking out.

Specify a companion in what context? If you mean something like separate reservations that reference each other that won't happen and even for the airlines that theoretically offer it the value is nil. If you're in the same reservation then you put two names in for the two passengers.
