Winter Strom from Maine to Charlotte

The National Weather Service has issued Winter Storm and Blizzard Warnings from Maine to the Carolinas. As a result CNN just reported that Jet Blue CEO has issued an edict that all Jet Blue Aircraft shall be redirected to St. Kitts to ride out the storm. All flights wil be cancelled until the snow melts by Thursday Morning. We are terribly sorry for the delays to ensue but what do you want us to do. This startegy has worked well in the past. Going forward we will alter our flight schedules to ensure there are no Northeast Flights during snow season. Those aircraft and employees will be furloughed until Spring.

A little levity before something not too far from this is announced by tonight.

So, this pre-emptive announcement would invalidate any and all claims of pilot/crew rest issues being the cause of any & all flight cancellations until tomorrow or Thursday, thus - no compensation or endorsement for other carrier, no food or lodging vouchers for those stranded. Besides, this time - they have far fewer choices to divert their birds, virtually all of the airports along with coast are coping with this weather system ...

T5@JFK is now B6@Camp-JFK, free blankets & pillows with folding cots - ah, yes - free WiFi & folks seemed to love the free Dunkin Donuts given out (after 36 or 48 hours ....) Would they be offering free showers airside ?

Weather surely isn't looking good, one forecast model for NYC projecting as much as 14" of powderly snow by the morning ....

Fortunately, we haven't book any winter flights on B6 - and do not plan to, as much as we loved the wide & "roomy" leather seats and choice of IFE, once you are airborne ...
