One way intl flight ok?

Have others encountered any problems buying one way international tickets on b6? When looking into purchasing tickets for my parents to sxm, I saw a pop up message on the b6 website saying that proof a return ticket is required. I'm not sure why b6 needs such proof, but I think that providing a print out of a return reservation on another airline should suffice... but I wanted to see if others had any experience with this issue... Is there anything else I should tell my parents to do?

Also, I ended up buying my parents' ticket on my credit card...is that likely to be an issue? If so, what can I do about it now?

as always, thanks for your help!!

Hello,
If you are travelling to international destinations you almost always you need to have an onward or returnticket.
Doesent metter if you flying out of the country on another airline.
I flow once on a oneway ticket from lima to san salvador and they asked me to present another ticket out of the country.
I had an international bus ticket to Guatemala which was not accepted.
Then i got angry and presented my 5 other tickets out of mexico then to the usa and canada and europe and then i finnaly i got my boarding pass.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Worldwide Traveller. Glad to hear that my parents are not the only ones who will have to prove they have a return ticket... Will Jet Blue accept a print out of their return itinerary from USAir?

1. B6 should accept the US printout. But, I would make sure that it's the e-ticket receipt, not simply an itinerary. If you want to be certain, call B6, confirm and have them note your parents' record with the US e-ticket #.

2. The reason that the carrier cares is that it is responsible for any pax not admitted. The carrier is fined, pays all costs and returns the pax to his origin.

3. Annoying as this is, it has nothing to do with the carrier and everything to do with the destination country.

Thanks so much, often1! I will try to find the eticket receipt for us and call jet blue and let them know.

Also, has anyone experienced any issues due to tickets being purchased by a person not traveling? I bought my parents' tickets and will be meeting them at the destination but we are originating in different places...they've certainly bought tickets for me in the past but I wanted to make sure there won't be any issues fire this trip...
