FlyerTalk Awards: JetBlue TrueBlue (Americas) benefits nominations

This poll will determine which benefit for this rewards program will appear on the January ballot for the FlyerTalk Awards.

Please note that once you have cast a poll vote, it cannot be changed.

If you have a suggestion for a name change for one of the benefits listed, according to your specific knowledge of the program, post it below; for instance, if this program’s “Bonus Points” benefit has a specific name, that specificity will help voters when ballots come out in January.

You may vote in any or all of the nominations polls across FlyerTalk. Simply navigate to your favorite program’s forum and cast your vote!

Polls open Monday November 28, 2011
Polls close Friday December 9, 2011

Happy nominating!

I don't mean to be a downer, but I don't think TrueBlue currently does ANYTHING special, and therefore doesn't deserve to be recognized at all.

Yes, they occasionally have bonus point offers (probably less than every other airline in the US, though), but their point program is currently the most restrictive. In order to get a decent 'value' on the program, you have to book via jetblue.com and not third-party or travel agent sites. The problem (as they well know) is that most of the high-value customers booking expensive tickets are business customers who are REQUIRED to book through company travel agents. As a result, they get 50% fewer points than they should, leaving them jaded. (Not something you want to do to your best customers!)

With the complete lack of an 'elite' program (and any perks whatsoever) there is literally nothing to distinguish TrueBlue from other frequent flier programs. Don't get me wrong, JetBlue is a fantastic airline. But their loyalty program is a joke and until they add elite benefits, airline partner redemption & give the same amount of points regardless of the booking site (as all major carriers do), the rewards program is simply second-rate.
