Special Needs

Is traveling with a newborn considered "special needs"?

I can prebook row 1 if I have special needs but Id hate to take the space of someone else who is incapacitated.

Thoughts?

For newborn baby i wouldjust assume no. Row 1 is part of even more space so a fee will be charged. Row 2 on the E190 and row 6 on the A320 are blocked for this reason.

You will get priority boarding if you're traveling with small children, just so you know.
