Guess JetBlue's Next Destination Contest on FB

JetBlue is running a contest on Facebook where you can guess JetBlue's next destination and if you are correct you will be entered into a drawing to win a trip for two to that destination.

It's kind of funny to read through some of the "guesses" people are posting in response to the hints that JB is posting. The hints so far are "south of New York", "sunscreen required", "passport needed" and "surf destination". There may have been another hint or two, but that's all I have off the top of my head.

The first thing I think one can assume is that this is a destination they do not currently fly to (thus the concept of guessing their next destination). Several people are guessing California, Long Beach, Oakland, Puerto Rico, San Jose (Costa Rica). Now these are all destinations that JB flies to...of course California is fairly general and there are dozens of places in California that they don't fly to. People are also guessing Hawaii, which I don't think they'd even do from SFO as that would be streching the limits of the 320.

Also, people are still making these guesses after being told that a passport is needed.

Now what's funnier is some people's comments to these guesses. Several people in response to some of the California/Hawaii guesses have said "that's WEST of New York, the hint was that it's SOUTH of New York". That's a new one to me, I didn't realize a location could not be both south and west of another at the same time.

Here's the FB link to the promotion Guess JetBlue's Next Destination.

I'm guessing most of the people making these comments on FB are not FT regulars.

My guess was wrong, I had guessed Acapulco. I think the 320s have the range for JFK-ACA but I'm not entirely sure.

There you go! This is right one. Congratulations to B6 announces service JFK-LIR. Isn't on the weight restrictions from JFK-LIR? Can A320 will handle enough more range to reaches into LIR?

The route is 2190 miles. That's shorter than transcons and there are lower jet stream issues. I doubt that it will be weight restricted.

Dude! You really need to watch what you say. Didn't you learn anything about starting false rumors from that 40th anniversay thread you started in the Southwest Forum?
