1 way from orlando to seattle huge increase
So, I have been watching a one way flight from orlando to seattle(change plane in nyc)on 4/9/11 for a few weeks now. The price has always been $238.00 which I thought was a bit steep. However, Saturday the price skyrocketed to $509.00! One way!! OMG (We already purchased one way to get down there on AlaskaAir but never thought getting home on jetblue would be so cost prohibitive) For those that have followed jetblue, are prices more than likely to stay, increase or go down? Also, I know we can actually fly jetblue and change planes in austin or boston, but on the site, it wont let me book that way. The only option, without going multicity, for the same day is nyc. UGH! So, if I perhaps book on orbitz, or expedia, and the price for any flights go down, will jetblue refund the difference?
Thanks

Wait for fares to go down

Welcome to FlyerTalk!!
Flight costs change all the time based on both the published fares and the available inventory. There are plenty of lower fares available right now but likely no inventory for those fares.

This can happen if flights are selling well or if the company thinks that the market will bear the price. It is also possible that the fares will decrease in the future if they haven't sold as many seats as expected at the higher prices. Fares look to be $303 right now so things are definitely dynamic.
As for forcing connections, AUS has no flights to SEA so you'd be flying MCO-AUS-LGB-SEA. I doubt B6 will sell that one.

Well, from my experience this month, JetBlue has had high load factors on the JFK and BOS to SEA routes. I have been trying to schedule a trip using my AYCJ Pass and, booking 3 days in advance, the flight I want are not available on their website (Expertflyer shows them as Y0). I have only experienced this with flights to HOU and SEA. I have been able to get all other flights without problems.
