500 bonus points plus $50 future travel credit

https://trueblue.jetblue.com/web/tru...-now-jet-later

Plan not one, but two trips with this special offer! Book a flight by October 1, 2010 for travel through December 15, 2010 and get $50 off a future flight on JetBlue, plus 500 bonus TrueBlue points.*

How it works:
Register for the promotion by October 1, 2010
Once registered, book your flights by October 1, 2010 and travel on JetBlue before December 15, 2010
After completing your first qualified flight in this promotion, you'll earn 500 points
Then, if you've earned 500 points, we'll send you a $50 voucher on or after December 30, 2010
The $50 voucher is good for travel between January 15 and February 15, 2010. Blackout dates apply.

To get your $50 off:
Complete your trip by December 15, 2010 and you will receive an email with a Promo Code valid for $50 off a future flight. The $50 off offer is valid for travel between January 5 and February 15, 2011 only. Blackout dates are January 13-17, 2011.
The main "catch" I can see is that the window for booking the future flight is pretty tight so you might not get much value from the $50 credit, but the 500 bonus TB points is not too shabby.

What happens if you register after you booked your flights?

nothing for me yet. It's starting to annoy me it's taking this long. Granted the promo says, "on or after 12-30" for the voucher, but it'd like to be able to use it, especially as the redemption window is so small.

Me too...couldn't wait any longer and booked all my January trips on Virgin America. Only have one flight left to book before February 15th so don't know now if I will even get to use it.

I wonder if the promo code is personal, or if someone else can use it.
