Jetblue Pricing - Seat Selection
 

Just looking at flights from BUF-JFK-SJU SJU-JFK-BUF (Aug 21 - Aug 30th)

I have been watching the pricing of this flight go from 1064 - 1162 - 1206 - 1246. They have slowly been going up. When I go to book the flight and start picking my seats there are a TON of empty seats on all selected flights.

BUF-JFK - 22 of 150 seats are selected - 15%
JFK-SJU - 41 of 150 seats are selected - 28%
SJU-JFK - 15 of 150 seats are selected - 10%
JFK-BUF - 17 of 100 seats are selected - 17%

I'm thinking that the price of these flights has to come down soon. However from watching the current prices over the past two months they seem to be doing exactly the opposite.

So can you judge the load of the plane based on the available seats or are seats sold and just not assigned?

Seat maps are not very good indicators--especially to/from the Caribbean. People book through travel agencies who don't bother to reserve seats
