How about Havana?
The only talk of Caribbean expansion I have heard is about Havana. This was after the Obama administration announced the intention to ease the flight restrictions to allow family members to fly. I know JetBlue is interested in such charters and perhaps later scheduled flights to Cuba.

Every carrier in the USA is going to jump on that service the moment it is possible. Well, maybe everyone other than WN. There are plenty of things that will have to be worked out for that to happen, including the USA permitting additional airports to fly to HAV, but I wouldn't bet on anything changing on the Havana service very soon.

There is much more to it than the USA just lifting the ban on travel. Odds are that it won't simply be a free-for-all initially and there are only certain airports designated as permitted to provide service to Cuba today. That will have to change as other carriers try to enter into that service. Plus there will likely need to be a bilateral agreement of some sort on frequencies. I'm not sure what is out there today but it certainly isn't an Open Skies arrangement.

As this is rather unrelated to the discussion of service to PLS I've split it into a new thread.
