Seat Not Assigned
 

Hey everyone,

So I'm booked on a flight tomorrow and the only seats left are EML on an A320, so I am unable to get a seat assignment online. I have a fairly tight connection in JFK, so I'd like to sit as far forward as possible to get off the plane quicker.

Should I gamble and just wait for a seat assignment at the airport in the hopes that I get an EML seat and not 25B, or should I just pay online for a seat? What are my chances of getting seated in EML or row 1/6?

Assuming that other passengers don't actually need seats in 1/6 you have a very good chance of getting them by asking at the gate. During my AYCJ run I think I got row 1 ~50% of the time. It was quite nice.
