I heard a rumor [PLS service?] - CONFIRMED (8 Sept 10)
I heard that Jet Blue was picking up Turks and Caicos Island PLS as a destination in 2010. Now I'm on a mission to find out if it's true. Anyone????

Would not be surprising--especially if they get a subsidy to start. jetBlue's management is very happy with the airline's performance in the Caribbean and they have said on many occasions they will continue to increase service to the region.

N830MH isn't confirming anything; he is more questioning it as well and suggesting potential routes.
I haven't heard anything about new routes or stations (and I'm quite certain that I wouldn't in advance). That being said, jetBlue has made it pretty clear that they love the yields that they are seeing in the Caribbean market and they'll grow that where they can. They are faced with limited slots at JFK, especially through the construction next summer, so that won't help things out too much. There are also some fleet utilization issues based on the lack of new aircraft coming online for the next 5 quarters.
I wouldn't be surprised to see PLS added as a destination at all, even without a subsidy.

Makes great sense. These are perfect for B6: high-yield leisure routes they can serve with only 1x/freq a day.

I didn't get it new routes from JFK-PLS or FLL-PLS yet. It should wait to see whether the situation is going on from B6. I should have it real soon. I think my source says that I did not find out anything more new specific routes anytime soon.

I think there is possibilities B6 will start nonstop FLL/JFK/MCO-PLS. It could be workout very well. NK has been discontinuation service from FLL-PLS a few years ago and it was not good timing due to poor performers.
