Security Priority Lane at NRT NH terminal

Are Gold level members from Star Alliance airlines other than NH permitted to use this Security Priority Lane when flying NH or other *A flights?

I never noticed a priority security lane for NH *Gold. But the security check never took long at NRT.

NH do have priority security lines at HND and ITM.

Here's the link:

http://www.ana.co.jp/eng/guides/airp...al/index2.html

It only refers to First class passengers, AMC Diamond, Platinum and Super Flyers but no reference to *G of other *A airlines.

That service only started last month so few folks will have had the opportunity to see it yet. That said, based on the description, I doubt *Golds will have access. The Japanese are pretty rule-conscious and the "rules" for this new service make no mention of *Gold. It really shouldn't matter. Security is always so quick and efficient at NRT that I have never felt the need for a special line.

Wow, not even open to long-haul business class. Pretty limited. Nonetheless, I agree that except during holiday periods, the queue for security at Narita is never longer than 5 minutes or so. It's the emigration checking lines downstairs that can get longer.

Are you sure it's only since July this year. That site is several years old.

I recall being escorted through a dedicated security lane when I flew F with Swiss in 2007 - and I recall thinking how redundant it was, since the waiting time at the other lanes was negligible. IIRC there was no way for F passengers to bypass the outbound immigration lines, which (as others have pointed out) are more of a bottle neck than the security.

As the OP for this thread, I posting to report my recent departure experience at NRT.

I departed NRT on a mid morning *A flight on a weekday and can confirm that NH has special *A priority check in counters but there was NO priority security clearance for *A Gold member. In fact, I did not notice a priority lane as suggested in NH web site. There were a lot of departing passengers but the queue moved very quickly in typical Japanese efficiency.

There is a lane for NH premium and elite members. It's toward the center of the terminal (with the other half of the terminal used by SkyTeam). NH lets u go through so long as u r a NH elite if, for instance, u r flying SQ.

This premium elite lane's metal detector didn't catch my iPhone and a mobile on me a couple of months ago.

JL also has its own at T2. JL doesn't let u use it unless u r a JL elite and fly JL. A JL elite flying CX does not qualify.
