This is akin to ordering pizza in Aizuwakamatsu. :barfing emoticon:

Checked your site today ... it seems you may already have it.
In any case, let's meet in the New Year for Mabo and possibly mug handing over ceremony. I'm in town again from Jan 10.

Vielen Danke! Mabo it shall be. January seems an ideal month to eat hot spicy goodness from the House O' Chin.

See you there ^

Schoflyer was here

Happy Holidays and a little Akemashite Omedetou all the way around!

Cheers^

PS had a few bites of PF's Mabo last week. Better than my Singapore noodles. But not really mabo. More like a deep fried tofu with broccoli with a sweet sauce.

Watched the Red and White song battle on NHK World lat night , for the most part impressive (except for the "talento" that can't sing). What caught my attention was the nationalistic comment by Kimura Takuya. I thought I saw someone I knew in the audience of the "Mr.Children" song......

Please tell us more. I can't bear to watch the kouhaku show, but I would love to know more about this.

Each of the singers was asked what they wanted to see in the New Year, and what stood out was KT's comment that it should be the year of Made in Japan...and went on to say that we(you) should buy Japanese thus supporting Japan and the Japanese worker(which is fine and dandy, but not a great idea if all countires did it too). Also one of the worst songs was when a bunch of Talento got on stage to sing a "Ganbare Nippon" tune. The song itself was not out of sync, except for the misguided talent with the Fuji TV flag. I'm sure NHK was not pleased.......

Oh... I think that's the kind of nationalism I can live with.

Yes, this "buy(insert country name du jour)" can be effective in the short term as long as someone else is buying your goods. It should make for an interesting year when the Americans, Chinese, Germans will be doing the same thing.....

But I still can't figure out why KT would even care?
