No carpenters, decorators and builders at work in Japan???

You should see the bag of tools my husband used to carry around Tokyo. Plenty of blades in there (have you ever used a Japanese saw?). At least half those people you see with huge harem pants will have access to a similar arsenal.

Not like the work of a sushi knife:eek:

If you want to see the more "serene" side of Japan, I would suggest Kamakura. Kamakura is like Kyoto. It is not quite as big as Kyoto, but there are a lot of old shrine and Buddhist temples including a great Buddha. It is only an hour or hour and a half from Tokyo, so it is a perfect destination for a day trip.
