When you get to preproduction and you need a technical consultant and senior researcher you know where to find me. And afterall, I even have a Ph.D., IN SCIENCE! ;)

What started out as an interesting and informative thread to answer a legitimate inquiry has taken a decidedly off-topic and rather unpleasant turn. Perhaps we can all get back to our usual cordial nature and on-topic assistance to the OP and others reading the thread title? Please??

OK...Let me recommend my favorite lunch place...The Hanamasa Yakiniku, Ginza. It's cheap...1000Yen...and loads of fun, when shared with another!* It's all you can cook and eat...for a little extra...all you can drink. Word has it's made it into guidebooks, so that might explain the bigger crowds. (Go early or go late?) At night, the cost is 3000Yen. *Yes, I've taken four dates, there.

You should also try Feria, same deal, just newer.

We're going there as well, on a different night, probably the preceding one. I also plan to swing by tokyo loose to grab a t shirt. Did some gas panicking the last two winters, so I can certainly do without this time around, but if I end up there so be it.
