As mentioned its the largest by floor area.
Titles are titles, sorta like tallest building, from top occupied floor, to roof, to antenna, flag pole, lighting rod etc. Nevertheless, its always cool to say "Been there". |

Nagoya Station is the largest in the world? I spent the night in Nagoya and went through the station just in June, and it didn't strike me as being nearly as large as Tokyo Station or Shinjuku Station. It certainly doesn't have the multitude of platforms that either Tokyo or Shinjuku does.
It hides its size well. Agreed that Shinjuku FEELS much larger, though I think GCT in New York has more platforms. |
GCT has more platforms -- yes I believe it does way have more platforms than JR does, but I wonder if you added in the Keio Line, Odakyu Line, Seibu Shinjuku Line (it's a block away, might be cheating), and the multiple subway lines if that would still be true. What about the subway stations reachable by underground tunnel, would they count?

They had some really neat robot demonstations (like a robot that draws your picture based on taking a shadow photograph of you, plus lots of cute robotic animals). There was also a cool section of robot toys. I guess they're closing because the locaiton they are in is probably the most expensive street corner of Nagoya - it's right in the middle of downton Sakae. I hope they relocate to a less expensive area and kep the cool exhibits for all to see. |

Well, we cannot always agree here. I don't, however, think the city is as bad as all that. I enjoyed the few days I spent there recently and found it convenient to a lot of things. Kansas City is not 1:45 from NYC or an hour from WAS by comfortable rail.
It is all moot anyway, as the OP is an AA flyer and NGO is not an option. Since I started flying QF (to/from and in AU) and AA (here in the US), most of my international travel involves codeshares or transfers between OW carriers. |
