I'm flying to Tokyo for my first visit. I'm only there for 4 1/2 days, but with an AA fare of $473 from JFK, who could resist (especially with VIPOW upgrades to Business)?

I've done some preliminary research and it looks like the best way to get from NRT to my hotel (the New Otani Tokyo, where I got a rate at $184 per night, which sounds good for Tokyo) is the Friendly Airport Limousine. It that true? If so, where do I get it and do I need to book before I leave? Are there ATMs at the airport that are convenient to the bus?

Any must-see advice for a quick stay would be most appreciated. Thanks!

You will arrive at Terminal 1. As you exit customs, the counter for the airport limousine bus will be straight ahead. Ask for a ticket on the bus that drops you off at the New Otani, which is in Akasaka. They accept cash and credit cards. They will give you a ticket which will also indicate the bus stop for service to Akasaka. There are several bus stops outside the terminal on the curbside, so be sure to stand at the correct stop.

ATM machines are located to the right of the counter, far right, in the corner.

As long as you're going to a major hotel and you're a newcomer to the city, the airport limo bus is the simplest, although not the cheapest option.

Depending on when you arrive, you may or may not get stuck in traffic on the way into the city.

In order to make the most of your visit, get a city guidebook and map before you leave.

- walking
- sense of direction
- museums & art
- shopping

Don't miss Shibuya baby. If you're there over a Sunday morning, Yoyogi Park near Harajuku station is a good place to see many fringe Japanese youth.
