YYZ to NRT or HND

I am trying to get a flight from YYZ to Tokyo around mid September. It looks like all the Business fares are around the 4K CAD mark. However two flights late August on TK is under 3k. Do the flights come down in fares as it gets closer and for bidding for an upgrade to business from PE any recommendations?

If this is the wrong place to post would be Mods please direct me to the correct forum?

Consider ZIPAIR lie-flat seats C$2,060.67 plus optional add-ons.
Can earn some points in JAL Mileage Bank

The fares will go up.

ETA: my mistake, the above price was from YVR

I guess I will have to buy AC but a bit worried about the strike.

Porter/Westjet to YVR then Zipair to avoid potential AC issues?

The price of the YVR Zipair flight always looked tempting, but similar to OP I'm on the east coast US, I'd have to add in the cost of a cross country positioning flight and possible overnight hotel...

August is a slow time to travel to Japan because of heat and humidity just like we are having, but add in Typhoons

Should I book another airline or the AC strike should be done with by then in early September?

Speculation about the strike by is probably best done on the AC forum. Or rather I assume it's very much in full swing. I don't think those of us on the Japan board can be of much help in that regard.

No significant changes since you asked the same thing in October.

A lot to me considering that I do not look forward flying via the US since I asked in October.

OP , should you not like the available options via YYZ , you could also search for Canada connecting options via YYC , YVR and YUL. You do not need to fly via the USA.

LillianJ Aug 19, 2025 11:45 am

Then you have to deal with US crap

LillianJ Aug 19, 2025 11:46 am

Don’t know if you did book but AC strike is settled
