Haneda Airport opened 24/7?
I'm not sure if the airport is open or not, but if I land at HND at around 22:00 and I have a late morning flight out, can I stay airside the whole time? I rather not spend the money on a hotel for such a short stay. If I could stay airside, what is there to do overnight? Any comfortable seats or benches to lie down on? Any places to charge my phone?

Yes, **Haneda Airport (HND) in Tokyo is a **24-hour airport.
However, while the airport itself operates around the clock, certain **facilities and services** have limited hours. - **International Terminal (Terminal 3):** Open 24/7, with flights departing and arriving at all hours. - **Domestic Terminals (1 & 2):** These are mostly closed overnight, with limited operations for late-night and early-morning flights. - **Transportation:** - **Trains:** Stop running late at night (usually around midnight). - **Buses & Taxis:** Available 24/7. - **Lounges & Shops:** Most close late at night, but some convenience stores and restaurants stay open. - **Sleeping in the Airport:** Allowed, especially in Terminal 3, which has designated rest areas. |

Very high? As it is international.. a flight search (from KUL, ANA/NH) all show T3 as arrival on https://tokyo-haneda.com/en/flight/flightInfo_int.html

Yes, NH886 is a T3 arrival. You can stay airside overnight but most things are closed. 7/11 is open 24h and there's lots of FamilyMart vending machines. Plenty of powerpoints and benches too.

Just a heads up - staying overnight at HND (Haneda) can be a bit tricky. The airport actually closes between midnight and around 5am, and they'll usually ask passengers to leave the secure area.

Good to know that there is a 7/11. Anything else? It sure sounds like there will be enough to keep me busy until the NH lounge opens.

If you stay airside.. the book shop has open til midnight https://tokyo-haneda.com/en/shop_and...ant_00093.html
otherwise the selection of shops T3-airside is very limited to start with - at any time. Search here https://tokyo-haneda.com/en/shop_and_dine/search_s.html |
OP, I'm certain that spending 12 hours (overnight, too) airside in HND T3 would drive me to insanity.
I used a very nice yet small room at a business hotel near Hamamatsucho (end station of the Tokyo Monorail) for about US$ 37 for the night. And there is a good Coco Curry restaurant near Hamamatsucho Station, too. |
This isn't really related to the opening times of the airport but didn't want to create a new thread just for this: for the first time I'm now thinking of bringing Japanese beer back home, are there any shops after security that sell it? A bit simplistic question perhaps but I never really bring any souvenirs back as I travel light with carry-on only so don't really know about shops & stores at HND.

Not sure if OP already completed their trip, but even if so sharing for future reference:
1) I recently had an overnight layover at HND (arrived in T3 late night, dep from T2). I knew I wanted a hotel, so linking my report back here: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/37129180-post30.html 2) I’m not sure about staying airside, but my experience exiting to land side was super seamless. I pre-registered for QR code and there was no wait to get through passport control. I almost forgot I was landside, it was so easy. Once you are landside T3, there is the Airport Garden Mall that is attached to T3 via a walkway, there are a number of restaurants, a rooftop onsen and a 24 hour Lawson. The onsen is 24 hours and also has a restaurant (you need onsen ticket to access the redirect). The Hotel Villa Fontaine is also in this complex 3) the best part of T3 IMO is the observation deck that is 24 hours. It’s HUGE! There are vending machines and also a coffee shop close by but not sure if the coffee shop is open 24 hours. Honestly if I have more than 2 hours transit time in the future I would totally go landside even if it’s just for a few minutes outside on the deck: |
