Narita and comic books

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there is a place to buy Japanese comic books (animate) at Narita airport?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know if they also sell comic books. But if you are land side, this is kind of fun.

There are bookstores / news stands in the terminals. I am sure they will have some comic books (Manga). Probably not as wide a selection as you can find in a large bookstore in Tokyo.

Do you know that Narita Anime Deck is still open? Last I heard was that Narita Anime Deck closed last year.

There are bookstores at NRT, Terminal 1 gate area and Terminal 2 gate area.

I see that you are from Los Angeles area, I lived at Hermosa Beach for more than a decade. In Los Angeles area there are Japanese bookstore Kinokuniya and Book-Off. These bookstores do have very good selections serving Japanese expatriates living in the Los Angeles area. I know at Kinokuniya you can order any currently published books in Japan. Kinokuniya can look up online for and tell you at spot if a book you are looking is current published and available.

I didn't know whether it closed. But if my plans don't change, I'll try to have a look this Sunday.

Speaking of Book off, if the OP has time then an option would be to head to Narita City for the Aeon Mall which has one.
It's accessible via train + bus from the airport. Bus leaves from Keisei Narita station.
