Looks a lot like the place I stayed at in Shima Onsen.
It is not! It is Takaragawa Onsen, beautiful spot

I see.
Name escapes me. I just looked it up. It's mixed gender onsen. You perv
Actually this might be the place that my family wanted to try years ago and I declined. It does look like a great setting, though.

Hi,

Well done, yes it was!

You could also see Mt Fuji from the seawall promenade across the road from my hotel ( Hilton Tokyo bay) ,from the lounge and from bay view facing rooms.

Regards

ha. we wanted to ensure we were somewhere both my husband and i could enjoy together since we'd be spending an extended amount of time there. they had women only and men only areas including a few open to both, but honestly with all the space and japanese modesty it was nbd. you cover up going from pool to pool and you have modesty towels to place on your lap under the water. we were def the only westerners there but didn't have any issue with people staring.

FYI... other (more prevalent) options if you and your husband would like to enjoy Onsen together would be:
1.kashikiriburo (rent private Onsen bath for a period of time, usually 40-60min, available at many Onsen hotels at reasonable prices)
2.guest room with en-suite private onsen bath

The second is my favorite option.

Definite a fun thread!

Kinkaku-ji & Fujisan dominate the thread, rightfully so. Now I tilt the scale a bit more.
From the familiar obligatory vantage point.

From up in the air on JL, NRT-DEL, long before covid.

Wow, that is an incredible photo of Mt.Fuji!
Esp considering you took that through the plane window.
The glimmering bay in the background is beautiful. You also managed to sneak in Fujiten ski resort in the bottom right.

So you’ve been extraordinarily lucky, and haven’t even realised (or appreciated) it. Congratulations....?

Not really. Photographers always want at least some texture in the sky. Kind of like this:
