Echigo Yuzawa from Gala. The course below takes you down to the bullet train station and is one of the few beginner-rated runs I've seen in Jpn that actually should be rated intermediate.

Trust me, that thing towards the left is kamoshika, or Japanese antelope.

Hmmm... Shin-Yokohama does not have a waterfront area....

Shin-Yokohama is about 7 km (4.3 miles) inland from Yokohama waterfront area...

COVID-era photos without the crowds

Some shots of popular sites with little to no other tourists (aside from the occasional appearance of Mrs. KI-NRT):

Tamaki-jinja (玉置神社) in Totsukawa, Nara

Tsumago-juku (妻籠宿)

Munakata Taisha (宗像大社) - Hetsu-gu (辺津宮)

Ryoanji's (龍安寺) Karesansui (枯山水)

Yamaguchi - Motonosumi Inari-jinja (元乃隅稲成神社)

Iwakuni - Kintai-kyo bridge (錦帯橋) & Iwakuni Castle (岩国城) in the distance

Aomori - Sannai Maruyama Jomon Historical Site (三内丸山遺跡)

Shimane - Izumo Taisha (出雲大社)

Miyoshi, Tokushima - Oku-iya Double Vine Bridges (奥祖谷二重かずら橋)

Tokyo - Sensoji (浅草寺) with the Hozomon gate (宝蔵門) & Gojunoto five-storey pagoda (五重塔)

Nachikatsuura, Mie - Seigantoji Pagoda (青岸渡寺三重塔) & Nachi no taki (那智滝)

Smile Some images

I have lots of images. Here are selections from December 2011 (a few), and more from December 2012.
DevilCraft Kanda. This deep dish pizza would pass in Chicago.

These three photos are of the ASUTO shopping street in Kamata (Ota Ward). The 3rd image is the DVD shop which, at today's USD-JPY exchange rate, I could clean out all their JAVs.

This became the last model of this specific class to run on the 'ding ding' trolley | tram on Tokyo's last streetcar line.
This is a Don Quijote store in Nakameguro where people who investigate this topic know it gets bottles of ultra-rare Japanese single malt whiskies.
What gets released at the conclusions of championship soccer matches? Stars like this with a message thereupon.
This is no longer in existance. The mechanical trains destination indicator was converted to electronics between 2012 and 2014.

Stunning pics, esp the 4-story pagoda with waterfall in the background.

Let's hope they won't sit next to each other far away from the terminal like this again.

Was just digitizing some slides from 1999 and ran across some photos of this now demolished hotel... The Sofitel Tokyo. I stayed for a night and enjoyed very much, pity it is gone.

Well, just got a security token missing error ... anyone run across this in the past?

Are you trying to link the pictures or post them directly?

I would probably say, close browser and try again...

I had never realised that building was a hotel, I now kick myself for not having stayed there....

Although I don't see your photo yet, here's mine from 2005:
