Draft beer pouring bot at NRT JAL lounge

The coolest tech I saw was a draft beer pouring machine in the JAL Sakura lounge at NRT. You put the glass in, hit start, and the glass is tilted several times during the process resulting in the perfect pour. I want one!

Took video and will try to remember to post next week.

Hi - I'll be in Tokyo during Christmas time and enjoyed reading this thread. Any cool places you'd recommend after your visit? Thx

Nothing futuristic, sorry. My favorite place and experience in Tokyo was the Meiji Shrine at Harajuku Station. Very tranquil at the time I went.

The fashion in and around Harajuku can be futuristic

Love the beer machine in the ANA lounge!

True, I've seen teen fashions in Harajuku that didn't hit the States until a year or two later.

I don't know anything about fashion, but that was my second pilgrimage in Harajuku: to the four story Daiso on Takeshita Dori St for inexpensive souvenirs. :-)

Seeing a few "front" packs (as opposed to backpacks).

Thought about that a bit, and it makes sense in a couple of ways:

1) access to items without taking the pack off

2) can sit down on the train/subway without taking the pack off

Not so sure on weight distribution though - but for maybe less than 10 pounds of weight I'd consider using one on my next trip; it would provide easy access to cameras and the like.
