Typhoon Lion Rock (Typhoon 10)
Typhoon Lionrock is slated to hit Tokyo on Monday if it tracks that way. I have a flight that would be landing at 9pm in NRT from ICN. Anyone know the best place to track this storm, and, how often will they cancel flights at NRT?

I think OP is talking of Typhoon no. 10 and it is too early (too far away from Japan at this moment) to tell if this typhoon will make landfall at Japan or not. However, currently computer models are showing Typhoon no. 10 to come close to the shore of eastern Japan but not to make landfall.
Is it possible that OP is confusing with Typhoon no. 9 which did make landfall past Monday?
Also to OP, maybe better to post question at the specific airline forum regarding your INC-NRT flight. Is it Asiana 108 you are flying? It is individual airline which make final decision about flight cancellation, not an airport.

Isn't that a history? Sometimes a typhoon moves like a V. Actually the forecast page says it will move toward the north east.

Yes, my error, but I still don't see anywhere where it says "will hit Tokyo on Sept 29 on any of the other storm path predictions.

As far as I know Typhoon Lionrock aka #10 has been moving in a southwesterly direction for the last few days.
Is it possible that it will start going back the way it came?

Since a couple of friends were separately flying into/out of NRT during the past week I have kept an eye on the paths of typhoons #9, #10 and #11. Typhoon #10 as I mentioned earlier followed an unusual path travelling from northeast to southwest as you will see on the map of its expected path published on 20th.
Most Japanese refer to typhoons by the numerical designation ("10th typhoon of 2016") though their Asian names are sometimes mentioned. I have no idea what 12W stands for.
Typhoon #10 (or Lionrock) is gaining strength and is currently to the south of Minami-Daito Island. Okinawa may be affected but it's nowhere near Tokyo or NRT and unlikely to be near on Monday.

Actually, the 5-day track forecast has it backtracking and bearing down on Tokyo area by about 8/31 or so. Of course, anything outside of 24 hours isn't precise. I'm due to arrive at NRT next week, so it has my interest.

I am finding a lot about Typhoon no. 10 online in Japanese, may not be in English. As it looks if there are anything affected by this Typhoon no. 10 will be in Japan. Typhoon no. 10 is Japan specific situation so far.
The recent storm hitting Louisiana area, you can find a lot of information online in English because it happened in the U.S. Do you expect to find a lot of Louisiana situation in Japanese online?
