Nikka Bars
 

We've just returned from Hokkaido and on our last night in Sapporo, we ended up in "The Nikka Bar". https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaura..._Hokkaido.html
In a wonderful atmosphere and they offered basically all Nikka products.
I was wondering if this is a chain and tried to find out whether there are other Nikka Bars, e.g. in Fukuoka, Kobe or Osaka. Unfortunately, an (English) google search did not render any (conclusive) results.
Does anybody know these bars, is it a chain and is there a website where we could locate outlets?

The Nikka Bar in Sapporo is their flagship; there is a Nikka Blenders Bar in Omotesando in Tokyo. I'm not aware of any company-owned outlets other than those.

My understanding is that those Nikka Bars are not franchise chain, but those are independently operated bars and are not technically affiliated with Nikka Whiskey. There are bars in Osaka, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, etc. which specialize in Nikka brand whiskies, but those at Sapporo and Tokyo are only bars which uses “Nikka” in their store name.

I thought this place in Tokyo was associated with Nikka.

Nikka Blender's Bar is located at the basement of the building where Nikka Whiskey headquarter is located. I do think there is some business arrangement with Nikka Whiskey, although I am not sure.

Nikka Blender's Bar is actually owned and operated by a company called Kid Spirits which is located at Shinjuku. Kid Spirits operates restaurants around Tokyo, but company Kids Spirits is not owned by Nikka Whiskey nor parent company of Nikka Whiskey, Asahi Beer. Company Kids Spirits' parent company is KIDS HOLDINGS.

Company Kid Spirits may have business relation with Nikka Whiskey to operate a bar specializing in Nikka whiskey on the basement of Nikka Whiskey's company headquarter building, but Nikka Blender's Bar is not owned and operated by Nikka Whiskey.

ah.. missed that. happened to walk by the place but did not go in as i was with our 9 year old. i am always amazed at the lack of children in tokyo after 6pm...you would think there are no kids in tokyo... ;-)
