Bucket List for Japan
 

With a cheap yen, Japan has become my destination of choice again. Whether it is good food, historical sites, natural sceneries or onsen, everyone can find something they like. If you have your choice of any place to go in Japan, where would it be?

Let me start. I have been to all the major cities already but the following are still on my bucket list:

Hoshinoya, Kyoto
- would love to take that little boat up the river to the ryokan during autumn leaves season

Shiraume Ryokan, Kyoto
- walked past it many times and always fascinated by its purple entrance. Would love to be there during cherry blossom season but I never make plans far enough in advance

Sanso Murata, Yufuin
- really liked its feel and decoration. Also another place that need planning way in advance

Wrong forum, perhaps? Unless you want to talk about which are the best luxury hotels in those two cities ...

Saito again,tokyo.will be there in September and Jan.

Richard, not sure why the thread is considered to be in the wrong forum since it is meant to be about luxury hotel/ryokan. Can you move it back?

HKTraveler, your original post was unclear, which is likely why it was moved. I suggest you repost it in the Luxury Hotels forum but make it clear you are asking about luxury accommodations in Japan and not simply destination advice. For now, I will close this thread.
