A bit too pricey for me, but I bought a bottle yesterday, for an overseas friend who wanted it. Cashier said they've sold about 20 bottles in the last week, so there's not been any crazy run on them. I have seen a few more articles about it, so demand may start to pick up... but I'd definitely like to have a taste in Maduro bar before purchasing.

The Peninsula bottle seems to be in way higher demand, I'd be curious how many they have left (if any)

I called the Peninsula hotel and found out they are selling the Ichiro's Malt (240 bottles) at two price points:
- Leather box for 200,000 yen
- Wooden box for 300,000 yen (limited 7 bottles)

No surprise they are still in stock and available.

Did they mention how many were left? My buddy went by the Peninsula to grab one today and they claim to be sold out.

The guy on the phone said he didn't know how many were left, so it's possible that they were sold out and he was unaware. I guess the Peninsula clientele are at a whole different level than Grand Hyatt.

I think it's mostly resellers who bought them all. I've seen them go for over $3,000 USD already.
