Totally relevant to me :-) I have a friend down there now and I've begged him to bring me back a bottle of either (or both).

Thanks for posting.

You gotta love your coworker sometimes! He picked up all these for me yesterday afternoon at Narita terminal 1 around 1500! Can't believe he was that lucky to score Hibiki Kacho Fugetsu!!

Thanks for the tip diazawaguy, picked up a bottle of hibiki 17 for 36800 yen and a bottle of hibiki blenders choice for 19800 yen from Don Quixote in Naka Meguro, still had two of the 17s left as I was only allowed to buy one.

Master select is being sold for 10,000 yen at airport so $130 is about 40% markup but Blender's Choice is listed at 10,800 yen so 19,000 yen is almost doubled!! No wonder the prices are so jacked up....
BTW, Hibiki 21 Kacho is still 50,000 yen at the airport. It has not been changed since it was launched... ~4 years now. It looks like a bargain now compare to some prices I have seen posted here!

right. I can understand the markup for rare aged stuff like H21, but there's is absolutely no reason to pay 50-100% markup for NAS whiskys that are literally everywhere like Blenders and Master Select

i guess its kinda like Blantons. I pass on it at $45 in California. but I see people paying $90-$100 in areas of the country.

re: the hibiki KL wines use to sell the harmony for $58, now its $70. So the masters select to me is totally worth what I pay all things considered cause its much better than the harmony.

And how often are people actually seeing stock of the h21

costco still sells it for about $54. you might try asking a friend to grab the MS for you from duty free if you don't travel much. Ive seen it in at least 6 airports this month for < $90

One of my family member is flying through Canada today and found Hibiki MS at 113 Canadian (~85 USD) and plenty available! I will be stopping there later this week maybe I will pick up 1 or 2!
