In Japan right now. The bad news is that the store shelves are empty on the TK 17 & 21's (in comparison to January when it was well stocked). Everybody is telling me the same thing. There's no more aged Miyagikyo and Yoichi to create the blends. Found a couple in a Mom & Pop shops, slightly higher than the average (not crazy though). But sources tell me that Nikka might be soon announcing the end of the TK 17 & 21, while keeping the 12 and NAS. I hope they're wrong.

Hi Jigen666,
That's disappointing. I'll be in Tokyo this Wednesday. I'm thinking of making a trip to Yokohama to see if the supply is any better.
If you see any place that has Taketsuru 17 or 21, can you throw me a bone?
Thanks!

No problem! I'm not sure about Yokohama though, not going over that way. If you're OK without getting the fancy box (bottle only) you may have a better shot in the mom & pop shops.

I saw a Taketsuru 25 for 70,000 (tax free) at Tokyu Dept store in Shibuya today. Those are hard to find, but man, you can buy 4 TK21's and 1 TK 17 for less than that (assuming you can find them). But the TK 25 is a unicorn, and I've already got one, so happy hunting.

I spent the whole day visiting don quixote, bic camera and other department stores in shinjuku, ginza, tokyo station, shibuya. Supply is bone dry for aged stuff.
