Those bottles are like 50% more expensive than in Singapore. It's actually cheaper to buy the whiskey abroad than in Japan

All depends on the country and exchange rates.
Yamazaki 12 was $410 in a retail liquor shop in Australia (40,000). Hakushu NAS $175.

Wow those prices are awful. I paid $220 SGD for Yamazaki 12 and $240 SGD for Hakushu 12. These prices are already a 10% increase from last year.

ALLIQ in Fukuoka. Went to a couple of shops and only one had the Blantons. There was a gentlemen at both shops (they were only a few blocks away) buying every bottle of the Suntory World Whiskey Ao Smokey Pleasure. Cleared out four bottles from the first shop and at least that many from the second.

Is the AO Smokey Pleasure SIGNIFICANTLY better than the regular World AO (which is ABSOLUTELY average)?

Help me pick [Lots of photos]

As I wandered through some grocery stores yesterday, I took several photos of the whiskeys. I hope to buy a few, and would welcome any kind person scanning the photos to provide some suggestions or helpful directions. I am not a collector or reseller, and I am not willing to pay a large premium due to hype and scarcity. I will keep these at my home (in the US) to be enjoyed by my friends and me.
