My friend was at Hakushu recently and said they were pretty strict about just 3 pp.
Hakushu bar is usually much quieter so it is easier for the staff to enforce such limitations.

Wow... Sounds like people have been having better luck at HND?

Yamazaki was pretty quiet when I was there. At one point I was alone drinking in the tasting room!

Our experience was similar. People came in waves but left quickly. We took our time (got two rounds) and by 4:20 were the only ones there.

I don’t know about the Hibiki 17 but I managed to buy 4 bottles of the Hibiki 21 Kacho Fugetsu at Narita over a bunch of trips in 2019 alone. The little Fa So La (I think) shop between the JAL Sakura lounge and gate 61 usually had something and when they didn’t, I’d ask and there was often something in back. They took the good whiskey out of the display at some point and filled it with gin and schochu I think.

Do you all think HND is better for finding Hibiki 17/21 or Yamazaki 18 right now than NRT? Is there any reason why that would be the case if it was true, perhaps less traffic at HND?

Hakushu Distillery

Went there this past weekend. A two day trip. First day was the distillery tour and second day was only tasting session. We managed to get there early on the first day. Ordered 3 drinks before our tour. Went back to the tasting room and ordered another 3 after the tour. Yes they limit 3 drinks per person.

Haneda report 6/30

North shop - Yama 18 in stock at open (730am) sold out by 805am.

Central shop - no stock

ANA shop - not open on Thursdays

I was also able to pick up a Hibiki 30 which came out to $1800 with the conversion rate. About 25% cheaper than than it used to be!
