The Conrad minis are not cheap at all. They only stock Yamazaki 12 for about ¥1.8k a pop.

Is ANA maxing the number of mini bottles you can ask for/take home? I know JAL does not have anymore.

At 1800 ea that's equivalent to the Liquors Hasegawa price for a full bottle of Y12 (25000). So yea, not cheap. JP online pricing is closer to 15000 and US pricing if you get lucky can be around $100. So a good price for mini Y12 should be ~ 700-1000.

I asked for a couple in a F flight a few weeks ago, but the CA only came back with one. She said was the last one, but who really knows?

Just a reminder for anyone in Tokyo right now that the Takashimaya DFS lottery is in 2 hours from time of this post.

I tried looking at the Mitsukoshi ginza page (event page) and it doesn't have anything. Maybe they just had one and it is in another month. Can't read the japanese.

BTW don't buy JW Blue at duty free unless you are absolutely out of checked luggage capacity. Liquor Mountain charges 11000 for 750ml (min 20k for tax free) and Shinanoya charges 11990 (min 5k for tax free). Current DFS price is 15200. If luggage space is a concern but you still want the box, look around because there are different versions of the box, and there is one that is just barely larger than the bottle inside.

While all aged minis are hard to find, the Yama 12 is most available in some stores (I see once in a while at prices under Y900). The Hakushu 12 and Hibiki 17 minis I have never seen outside of hotel minibars but I'm not a local (with local knowledge).

Haul overview from my weekend trip:

Hakushu Distillery Exclusive - Hakushu Distillery (¥1466)
Yamazaki 18 Limited Edition - Haneda JAL DFS (¥50000)
Fuji Sanroku 18 Limited Edition - Haneda JAL DFS preorder (¥32000)
Moon Glow First Release - Donki Shinjuku Southeast Exit Store (¥15000)
Hibiki Harmony - Hakushu Distillery (¥5500)
Taketsuru 17 - Liquor Mountain Shinjuku (¥23000)

Always nice to cap off a trip by finding one of the Y18 or H21 at the airport. I still can't believe the airport LE prices that were considered a horrible ripoff are now reasonable-to-good. Will post some other stock pictures and pricings from around town later.

You are planning your trip based on your chances of scoring a couple of minis that can easily be bought for less than $50? That is an interesting approach...

Argh, looked at the wrong receipt. Sadly it cost me ¥23000. Corrected my post. T17 for ¥12000... yeah that would be the life. Syurui.com has it for ¥17000 before tax, if you can have a Japanese address to ship to.

The same Shinanoya also had a Taketsuru 21 for ¥29000 when I visited on Saturday, but it was already purchased by the time I went back to pick it up on Monday. Sigh.
