ICN-NGO-GUM Connection

I am doing icn-ngo-gum. The connection time in NGO is 45 mins. Is this doable?

OZ ICN - NGO arrives 10:35
UA NGO - GUM departs 11:20

It is all on the one ticket. Adivise?

Piece of cake.

If it was all on one ticket, minimum connection time (MCT) has to be maintained, which at NGO is 60 minutes:

Code:

STANDARD.D/D...D/I...I/D...I/I.
ONLINE    .30  1.10  1.15  1.00
OFFLINE  .30  1.10  1.15  1.00

You could probably still make it, but if something went wrong you may not be protected. I am surprised you were able to ticket this.

Not ticketed yet. Still planning.

If possible I would transit through FUK -- there is a more comfortable 70 minutes between OZ132 and UA166.

So it's not on one ticket then? In that case, don't even think about it. D'uh ...

Why did you say it was on one ticket?

And more to the point, if it's less than the MCT, how do you plan on getting it on one ticket?

The only way the OP will be able to get this on one ticket is if it isn't less than the MCT.

I was just planning, so it will be on one ticket. Given that it is less than MCT, more than likely it would have been rejected.

Anyway I am looking for alternatives now.

I did these segments but opposite direction GUM-NGO-ICN on UA/OZ last month. If your flights are on time, it will take 10-15 minutes to connect from airplane door to door but you will need to walk fast. Add another 5 minutes if you need to visit the transfer desk.

The difference is that in that direction, the connection time is 80 minutes, which is more than the MCT. So you can actually ticket the connecting flights on one itinerary in that direction.

In addition to not being able to ticket it on one ticket ICN-NGO-GUM, if the agent at ICN is on the ball, they will refuse to accept through-checked baggage even on two tickets, because of the MCT issue. So, the OP may be able to actually make the connection if the inbound flight is on time, but will not be able to check bags, will have to buy two tickets (perhaps at a higher price), and will have no recourse if they mis-connect.
