Here is the Chuo Line to Keiyo Line transfer in full:

Another advanced option for those with a better grip on the train system is to take the Yamanote line to Yurakucho, exit the station, and walk to the Tokyo station Keiyo platform via the Tokyo International Forum: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNSgQHCRS2Y This cuts the walking time by half, but it may cost a little more on account of having to exit the train line once. |

I am assuming that he is a young guy travelling aline, and that would be interested in the sights within Tokyo Station along the way.
Under those terms, it's really not that bad. |
I need distilled water, when I asked the hotel for a drug store in the area, they replied there was one in the area, but they never gave me a name. Could anyone help me with this? Where in the Shinjuku area can I buy distilled water? Thanks

There is a whole thread about that: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/japan...ater-cpap.html

Yeah read that and I find it hard to believe that the only place that you can get distilled water is in an auto parts dept. There isn't a definative answer as to weather you can get it at a pharmacy or not. If you can, is there one in the Shinjuku area?

There are gazillions. Try a Google Maps search of "薬局 near Shinjuku."

Actually a few weeks ago, out of curiosity, I popped into my local pharmacy when I was passing by (the owner is quite eccentric) and asked. He sold half liter bottles for 100 yen.
Look for elephants and 薬局. p.s. Why do pharmacies in Japan display elephants? My local one has an elephant dressed in a Swallows unifrom. |

It's the mascot for Sato Pharmaceutical - makers of Yunker energy drinks, so you might see Tamori's face peering out from a poster near the elephant too. Why the mascot for Sato Pharma is an elephant is one of those questions you cease asking after a while ...
Had no idea it was a pharmaceutical company. Cute elephant, though! |

If you are in a hotel in Tokyo then I guarantee that you are only a few blocks away from a drug store at any given time. Just ask the hotel front desk staff where the nearest yakkyoku is.

What's your hotel? Someone here can probably advise. If nothing else, I believe there is at least one drug store in the station tunnel connecting the west and south exits. There's also a largeish one across the street to the right from the south exit (or the same side as the New South exit) and at least two more in the electronics area on the west side where Yodobashi camera is.
