Data SIM card for TYO for a month
 

Friend of mine arrives in TYO in couple of weeks. He wants to get a data SIM card for his Samsung Note which will be used only for email/google maps/google voice.

Do you know if there is an alternative of Bmobile with the following conditions (all of them are required):

- no more than 5000 yen for a month
- does not require activation thru Japanese mobile phone or calling customer service (he won't have a phone to call from)
- bandwith at least 2mbit
- 2GB built-in data traffic
- does not throttle for VoIP calls

I personally could not find anything satisfying all those conditions but probably someone knows better.

Sorry, nothing exists that meets all those criteria. b-Mobile is pretty much the only option at all for non-residents, and even among the normal providers, there's nothing that inexpensive for that amount of bandwidth/speed.

After some discount schemes are applied, there is. I pay docomo around 3500 yen/month for LTE 75Mbps service with 7GB allowance.
