I am taking ANA6264 (operated by SQ) SIN-KIX. I wanted to know if SQ or ANA have an arrivals lounge at KIX that one can use. I have *G status. The only one I could find was http://www.kansai-airport.or.jp/en/service/relax/index.html#_04 I am not sure about what rates it charges and how good it is. Any suggestions? Thank you |
If you're going landside, you could use the Kanku lounge - It's basically a "manga cafe" - http://www.kansai-airport.or.jp/lounge/
300 yen to enter (up to 30 minutes) + 100 yen for each additional 10 minutes 300 yen to use shower (a basic, plastic molded unit) Soft drinks available for no extra charge. So, if you move fairly quickly, I think you should be able to to freshen up, change clothes and grab a cup of java for 600 yen. |
I recall seeing a sign at KIX somewhere in the area before landside and transit passengers split up that says, "Have a nice refreshing shower, ¥500."
I've never read the details or used the service, because I've always had a hotel room waiting for me at the end of the bus or train ride. |
Is there an arrival lounge/suite in KIX? No.
What there is for you is a 24 hour airport lounge, the Kanku lounge, as jib71 has mentioned. Actually, the manga cafe is only a part of the lounge. ksandness is talking about the same thing. While normally it is 300 yen to enter the open area and an additional 300 yen for the shower, they offer people who only want to use the shower (and not the seating or internet) use for only a fee of 500 yen for 15 minutes. Be warned that although the shampoo, conditioner, and soap are free, a towel is an additional 210 yen. I always brought my own, so I don't know if you get to keep that towel (although I suspect you do, just like at the onsen). How is it? It's not as fancy or as big as the ones in ANA lounges, but it gets you wet and that's its job, right? Both links mentioned, http://www.kansai-airport.or.jp/en/s...index.html#_04 and http://www.kansai-airport.or.jp/lounge/ refer to the same Kanku lounge. It's on the 2nd floor, north; which is also the domestic departures floor. It's right across from the book/music store. You will also arrive on the north end, but on the 1st floor. Just take one of the escalators or elevators in front of you when you exit customs. |

Thx guys |
The Nikko KIX Hotel also has showers and other spa facilities for use against a fee. They will take care of your luggage inbetween.

It's not at KIX, but there was a super sento in Rinku Town (one stop from KIX) last time I went to the outlets (it wasn't at the outlets but rather in a shopping center on the street there).

If we're including Rinku town in this discussion, I'll stretch a little further and suggest Inunaki onsen. It takes a little initiative to get there...
