JR Pass Reservations Question
 

I checked on the JR website but it did not address my particular question. So perhaps someone here can help me out.

Here's the scenario. I turn in my Exchange Order for the JR Pass, but set the activation date a week or so in the future. Can I make reservations during that period of time? Or do I have to wait until the first day the pass is active?

There should be no problem for such.

I once bought a Furano . Bibi pass at JR Hokkaido and request seat reservation before activation day, no problem at all.
