AA doesn't exactly set a high bar to begin with...

Most people would say airplane food is gross, but I find Asian airlines like JL, NH, and CX to do a decent job. I'll be flying AA tpac for the first time in about four to five years. My expectation is quite low.

Have flown AA in economy long haul - horrible experience. 1 hot meal on a 11hr flight and rude FAs, ignored my meal choice booked before, and very limited - no amenity kit, drink choices etc. But, this was economy.

Looking at JAL the IFE looks much worse, food should be better, service should be much better.

If you're comparing economy, JAL has wider seats (one less seat per row than AA).
