Food in J getting worse?
 

Is it just me, or is the food quality on JL J deteriorating? I flew NRT-CGK and return several times over the past three months, and each time the meals, both yoshoku and washoku mains felt and tasted quite stale. The yoshoku appetisers were also quite unappetising each time.

Never mind that, I also noticed on the CGK-NRT segment that the zensai and the dainomono are served together on one large tray, which made it very hard to eat. I recall that half a year ago, the zensai and the dainomono were served separately. They are still served separately on NRT-CGK though...

I'm a big fan of JL but the food this time round, for me at least, was utterly disappointing. Stuck to Champon de Sky instead.... :(

I am also a regular on this route and share your sentiments.
However, the CGK-NRT leg is usually a "dozing flight" due to the super early departure, so maybe JAL isnt puting too much focus on the food and or choice of caterers.

Food on both JL and NH is going downhill, in both mid- and long-haul J! Lots of small cuts that are starting to add up. JL is particularly shameful with their cup noodles snack service on intra-asia J flights. Soba de Sky... lol.

Time to leave this airline. Endless devaluations and cost cuttings. Deteriorating service that left F pax sitting there waiting to be noticed in hours and high fares. Time to vote with your money and let’s make JAL great/bankrupt again.
