Baggage drop fly from KUL

Hi guys, its my first time flying JAL out from KLIA on 22.50 flight. I will arrive with air asia in KLIA 2 noon time. I check at JAL website that counter check in only open 3 hours before flight, if I do online check in, is there any way that i can drop baggage then clear immigration when i arrived in KUL? thank you

Hi,
Do you mean you wanted to drop bag for your jal flight when you arrived in KLIA2 before clearing immigration?

if so, that is not possible as both terminal are totally separate building apart. There is no Jal counter nor other full service carrier in KLIA2 (not walkable for sure even self drive at least 15-20 minutes), there bus transfer between this two terminal).

The only way you can do is online check in and wait till the counter open in KLIA (usually by 7:45pm will open but there is queue formed but will be processed quite fast) to drop your bag.

Check the KLIA website carefully. They might (caveat I have not checked) have a service similar to Changi where the airport offers early bag drop. The Changi service is very nifty, and airlines don't always make reference to it. You may be in luck.

Also you might not be in luck and then see the answer above....

There's a 8 hour advance baggage drop off, although see Post #2 here that it's really not that early.
Malaysia Airlines Advance Baggage Drop

Another option is the 24 hour baggage store & recheck closer to departure, assuming the OP is staying landslide.

Ah my bad , no idea if they had something similar to Changi as mention by CPH-Flyer. Gotta wait for the counter to open 3 hours before departure then regardless if you did online check in (you still need drop there).

Not sure the layover time between your KLIA2 flight and JL flight, you can put your bag storage as per below image beside Burger King (cant miss it on Landside area) in level 3 Arrival Hall. I not sure the rates tho, and make sure you remove the valuable stuff from that before leaving behind.

Please share your experience. I have the exact same question. I need to take the JL flight to NRT. But I need to arrive at the airport in early afternoon to escort my family to take another flight. I would love to drop my luggage and go through the security with them and wait in the lounge. Or drop my luggage at the airport and hang around for five or six hours. If that is the case, is there any place nearby or before the security that is worth spending few hours?
