F Cabin Refurb Review
Currently flying in one of the newly refurbed F cabins. Briefly.
Seats - Reupholstered with much nicer softer and more breathable leather. Big improvement. Ottomans also reupholstered. Armrests unchanged. Walls - Front and back walls in the mid section (fore and aft of the middle seats) got the darker (patterned greyish) colored wall coverings. Walls fore and aft of the single seats on the sides of the cabin are unchanged. Overall a big improvement. Makes the cabin seem much more comfortable and much less sterile. Lavs - Dark color and better lighting. Makes the lavs seem seem much larger and less institutional. Carpets - Replaced. Not sure if they changed the color. Overall - They did a very nice job without spending a ton of money. Cabin seems much more comfortable and serene. Well done. |
Any pics? |
Would like to see pics as well. How many aircraft have been refreshed?

That new color scheme actually looks great.

Anyone know the registration of the aircraft which have been refurbed? Flying in F LHR-HND on 26 Sept - would be nice if in the refreshed cabin.
The link above does not reference First getting any treatment? |
I'm guessing it's the JL41/42 running JA837J and JA840J.

Oof yeah, not sure how missed that.

Slight redemption arc: I think the first one that got the refurb is JA738J
|
Had JA738J on JL44 (LHR-HND) yesterday (11. Sep). As infrequent traveller I'm not sure if i would have noticed the difference in the first cabin. Only the dark color inside the toilet was an unusual choice that I immedialy noticed. Considering it's been only around for a month the amount of scratched/blemishes on the surface was a bit of a surprise to me (plus what seems like a blue ballpen gone wild).
