But I guess trying to be a middle of the road kind of LCC. Though history usually shows you are either a full fledged LCC or you loose money. |

Thanks for sharing....the black and white color scheme is really interesting to say the least.

Zipair's cabin has just been unveiled and this is not so LCC. More so like in between LCC and FSC service.
https://www.aviationwire.jp/archives/192168 (Japanese Only) * Toto Washlets are installed - an LCC First (3 x front lavatories only) * No PTV's but WiFi is available * 18 Full Flat in J (Jamco's Venture Seats - same as KLM Biz) and 272 Y in 3-3-3 config * J seat pitch is 42" while Y is 31" * By removing all PTVs, it reduced weight by 0.5 tons |
I agree that you should go full Karen or don't go at all. This seems to be no competition to LCC.

Scoot and Air Asia offers IFE, don't they? Which is kind of the main competition here.

Air Asia also has no PTV. In Premium Flat beds, they offer some types of entertainment players. Basically ZIP is following the trend of no PTV with these long haul LCC airlines. |

No Scoot does not offer any PTV, but they offer some types of streaming entertainment for a fee. It is also the only airline, who will charge Y pax for using the charger.

The J cabin actually looks rather stylish, but I am certain that the service will not be given the semi-LCC nature.
Considering they are launching from BKK (as opposed to DMK), could this be part of a wider plan of potentially reducing mainline capacity on the route in favour of this Zip-thingy? I hope not.. :( |

Business class looks quite good, but the livery is absolutely hideous.
