Does jal allow children on biz award redemptions using aa?

planning to fly lax to nrt. If there is availability on jal, can a 1 fly as lap baby for fee/tax?

Can they get their own seat if u bought ticket?

i know some airlines donít like infants in biz or first.

See #5. Note that using AA miles, you'll want to check that forum for those rules & procedure. Some partners allow use of their own miles for fractional infant tickets, some require you to purchase the infant ticket at fraction of the cash ticket price in conjunction with the operating airline, others (AS for instance) may not allow infant tickets on award tickets.

You have to call in to add the infant lap ticket to your reward after ticketing (or during if you do your reward over the phone). It will be 10% of the JAL Business fare for your flight. Took my now 3 year old NRT-LAX on JAL when he was 11 months.

The infant ticket on JAL via AA cost me about 2x his infant ticket LAX-HND on Delta at the time because the DL Biz fare was a little over 2k one-way vs JAL charging 4K+. I waited months after making my award reservation to ticket my infant hoping the JAL fare would drop to where everyone else was - but never happened. If you are doing a round-trip award may not be an issue. The JAL suites were definitely nicer than the Delta seats - so did not mind.

On the other question - if you do a second award ticket and they have their own seat vs. being a lap infant - of course that is fine too.
