Between Mar and Aug, Salon will be only available on the ex-Japan flights. It will be available on both directions from Sep

Ahhhhh this is good and bad news for me. Booked First from NYC/LAX to TYO in late May and late August. Won’t get salon in May for sure. Hopefully the stock for Cristal can run out quicker and maybe they can roll out Salon ex-US in late August

JAL Group - PRESS RELEASES - JAL Unveils First and Business Class Champagne, Wine and Sake Selections International Flights for Fiscal Year 2019

I had to use Google translate to work this out:
http://press.jal.co.jp/en/items/uploads/List.pdf

For March to August 2019, Salon is ex-Japan. Cristal is for flights into Japan. Comtes de Champagne is in both directions.

The menu online listed all three and I was hoping for a choice of them all (wishful thinking!) so it looks like it will only be two choices per flight.

September 2019 - February 2020 is Salon and Lanson Noble Cuvée Brut Vintage 2002 both directions. No Cristal!

I recently had the pleasure of flying NRT-LAX in F (3 March), and I in fact had a glass each of Salon and Cristal. I did not try the glass of Comtes, but that had more to do with my desire to get a few hours of sleep!

This plus the fact I managed to switch an Avios BA First LHR-HND to JAL F on both legs makes me look forward to my trip in July even more! First time on JAL.

Welcomed news, saw it earlier on the menu. Cristal isn't to my liking and was looking forward to it recently but was disappointed. In fact, my personal preference was the limited edition 2006 Bollinger Rose over the Cristal. Look forward to my favorite first class, Japan.

All three were on my flight from HND - LHR on Sunday. I too was not a fan of the Cristal.

Being served 2006 instead of 2007 on jl002 right now.

Not complaining.

Flew JAL F from NRT to LAX. They only had one bottle of Salon 2007 which was empty by the first go around. Everyone was only able to get a glass. Moved onto Cristal 2009 which eventually ran out but was eh anyways so didn't care that much.

Kinda disappointed since my experience with Emirates F was way different. My girlfriend and I probably went through 4 bottles of Dom Peringnon P2 ourselves alone on that flight.
