Diamond & JGC Premier service selection 2019

The service selection for 2019 is just been published. It is hardly a surprise that the options are identical to 2018.

There is something new.

A "partner" can be a spouse, domestic partner, or a family member registered with the JALCARD Family Program or JAL Family Club. Please note that you may be requested to submit proof of relationship if you and your selected partner have different last names.

I guess this is worth more than other options if one is abroad.

Now it makes sense for me to go for diamond but damn it it’s too late I’ve booked all my trips for the year

for domestic case, you just need to have a JAL card but overseas your “partner” will actually need to get JGC the hard way first if you are only JGCP?

Book more

It's just 20k extra, do it yourself and not worry about it as Diamond.

I think they can do double FOP once they are Diamond, then that would be way easier.

I am less than 20k to go. Could have easily made it had I chosen to this year. Instead I shifted all of the extra flights to next year

will the partner diamond be eligible for JFC too lol

JL hasn’t announced the 2x FOP promo yet. Don’t assume it will be renewed when @CPH-Flyer has been complaining about that endlessly lol

Unless JAL starts to add some really beneficial benefits for JGC and Diamonds such as blocked seats and availability that really pertains to the flight experiences I don’t know if these extra JGCer will cost JAL anything but lounge crowding and long priority line.

I have not had any surveys in a while, but if they did listen then other campaigns should come instead....

I merely pointed out that I found a double Fly On Points campaign pointless, and would suggest they did something more valuable to members.

But did write that several times....

If it works, can you ask them to get rid of JFC too

I can try.... But I would probably need to find someone to make the similar complaint on the dark side. Haha

Or just target overseas members and auto downgrade those overseas JFC members without 20K FOPs/10 JL flights to ruby. Make 1 level oneworld tier upgrade (up to Sapphire) a JAL Card benefit for JFC members LOL
